第七十章   被褐懷玉

吾言甚易知，甚易行。天下莫能知，莫能行。言有宗，事有君。夫唯無知，是以不我知。知我者希，則我者貴。是以圣人被褐而懷玉。

Jade Under Coarse Cloth

My ideas are easyto understand and easy to practice. Yet no one understands them or practicesthem.

My doctrines have asource from Nature; my deeds follows the Natural Laws. It is because people donot transcend to deeper consciuous levels they do not understand me. Those who know me are few,

those who follow my teachings are the enlightened.

Therefore, the sageis modest in her apparel, but carries the priceless jewel of peace and harmony withinhim.

我的話很容易理解，很容易施行，而天下的人往往不理解，不能實行。我的言行有天道為根據(jù)，行動有天德為根基。常人不能感悟宇宙大道本原，所以不能理解我的感悟真言。真正理解我的人少，能取我法的就更難能可貴了。

真正悟道的人外表粗衣陋服，卻身懷天德與韜略。
