第四十九章   無私乃容
圣人常無心，以百姓心為心。 善者吾善之；不善者吾亦善之, 德善。
信者吾信之；不信者吾亦信之, 德信。 圣人在天下，歙歙焉，為天下渾其心，百姓皆注其耳目，圣人皆孩之。

The Power of Selfishness

Enlightened Individuals hasno mind of her own.

They make guiding people to the light of the Tao as their task.

They treat good those who have good manners;

They treat good those who have bad manners,

thus the kindness from the nature mother is cherished.

They trust people who are trustworthy;

They trust those who are not trustworthy,

thus the trust from the nature mother is kept.

The Enlightened Individuals set examples

by harnessing their selfishness,

with their minds melting into the simplicity of the Nature.

The People all focus their eyes and ears to the EnlightenedIndividuals searching for liberation of pure consciousness,

Enlightened individuals treat them all as infants.

圣人沒有個人私心，他們以引領(lǐng)百姓悟道奉德為己任。 善良的人，善待他；不善的人， 同樣善待他；這樣，才充分地體現(xiàn)宇宙本源的仁善。守信的人，信任他；不守信的人，同樣信任他；這樣，才充分地體現(xiàn)宇宙本源的誠信。
